A 1940s French buckle - a deep midnight blue with interesting colour depths and variations characteristic of this type of vintage plastic.
There is a circular pattern carved  along one curved edge.

Just under 6cm tall, 4.5cm wide at the widest point.
The internal apertures are 4.5cm tall.
